Tension Release Series

Let's face it we're not all athletes in peak physical shape, and even if we are there are still times where injury, illness or just plain tiredness forces us to take a big step back. This series of classes are designed to help you find your way back. Using props and variations are very important here, being mindful of safe movement is super important when you aren't feeling your best, so even though I've covered lots of modifications you may still find you have different limitations, don't be afraid to adjust something further to suit you. Here are some particularly important notes:
** Level 1 has only one class with one standing posture so is a great option for those finding it hard to be up on your feet, standing postures will be adding slowly through the series.
** Breath at your own pace, with the objective being lengthening your breath cycle over time. In particular in Level 1 I have recorded the class with me talking through each movement, it gives you a bit more time to move, but may make the breaths a little bit too long, don't stress over it, just do your best, when you move on to level 2 you'll be able to start developing your breath cycles further.
** When you are suffering pain moving super slowly can make all the difference in giving your body the time to realise it's ok and it doesn't need to initiate a pain response.
** I recorded these classes on the tail end of a shoulder injury, but I had gained back the ability to lift my arms above my head, the movements if they are right for you should help release upper back and shoulder pain, if it doesn't work for you, don't do that part of the movement, or limit the range of your movement.
